Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify the person or persons who were responsible for breaking into several cars in the City of Mosinee.
The Mosinee Police Department received multiple different theft from vehicle complaints between August 12th and August 13th, 2012. The thefts were concentrated in the area of State Road 153 and Interstate 39 and on the west side of the city near 20th Street. Taken in the break-ins were money, cigarettes, electronics (car radio face plates, GPS units, etc), a purse, and a clarinet. Over $7000 in property was stolen.

The Wausau Police and Wausau Fire Departments responded to four suspicious grass fires on Friday, July 13, 2012 within the City of Wausau and Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the person(s) responsible for setting them.
The first fire was reported at 5:20 p.m. in the 900 block of Townline Rd. The fire was adjacent to the railroad tracks and had burned the vegetation. The second fire was reported at 5:42 p.m. in the woods north of the intersection of Kickbusch St. and 13th St. The fired burned pine needles that covered the ground and the bottom of some trees. The third fire was reported about 6:43 p.m. in the 700 block of Jefferson St. The fire was again along the railroad tracks. Sometime between June 21st and July 1st, 2012, someone drove onto private property on Lakehurst Road and stole a pop-up camper. The camper was a 14 ½’ foot 1993 Palomino “Filly-RG” with a single-axle design. It appeared the trailer was stolen while the front trailer jack was in a down position. Sometime between May 25 and June 1, 2012, someone took approximately 100 steel plates from a road construction site in the 900 block of S. 60th Ave in Wausau. The plates were described as ¼” steel, with some being approximately 24 inches by 36 inches square, and the others being 36 inches round. There were approximately 50 of each size stolen. The steel plates were used to cover manholes during construction of the roads. The loss is estimated at approximately $6500.

A television was stolen from Aspirus Hospital in Wausau on Easter Sunday and Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to solve this crime.
On April 8, 2012, (Easter Sunday), at about 10:38 am, a 32” Samsung LCD television was stolen from the Cardiac Institute waiting room on the east side of Aspirus Hospital. The suspects are two younger, adult white males. The male wearing the t-shirt is seen on surveillance exiting the Cardiac Institute with the TV tucked under his right arm. The suspect’s truck appears to be teal in color and has about a 3” strip of silver or grey that runs along the bottom edge of the body. There appears to be several items in the box of the pick-up truck.
