Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to determine who stole twelve plastic mats used to help a utility company access wet or swampy areas.
A utility company was working on October 28, 2013 in the area of Old Highway 51 and State Road 34 in the Town of Knowlton. Between 3:00 PM and 7:00 AM the next morning, someone stole twelve plastic mats the company uses underneath their vehicles to access wet areas. The mats are 4’x8’ in size and are 7/16th of an inch thick. The utility company sustained a loss of about $3,000.00. Attached is a picture of a mat on a trailer.

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify the person responsible for stealing bolts from pedestrian railings in the City of Wausau.
On or about October 11, 2013, there was a theft of nuts and bolts from the pedestrian railings on the Washington Street and Scott Street bridges. 137 bolts were stolen from the W. Washington Street bridge and 80-100 nuts were stolen from the Scott Street Bridge. These nuts and bolts anchor the pedestrian railing that rests atop the concrete barrier along the sidewalk.
The total loss is approximately $415 plus an additional $1,000 in labor for the city crew to replace the missing nuts and bolts. There were also 4 bolts missing from the Dudley building.

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to locate the person responsible for stealing equipment from a property in the Town of Guenther.
Between July 15, 2013 and July 29, 1013, someone stole a hay wagon from a property on County Road X in the Town of Guenther. The hay wagon didn’t have sides on it and the picture is of a similar trailer. On the trailer was a five to six foot bucket which would attach to a tractor. On the inside of the bucket, the initials “DW 2010” were welded. Also on the wagon was a log grapple for a Bobcat Skid Steer. The owner estimated his loss to be over $5,000.00.

There were several vehicles

On Saturday, June 29th, about 5:25pm, a bicyclist was riding north on CTH X about .75 miles south of CTH C when she was struck by the passenger side mirror of a northbound white pick-up truck. On 05/20/13 about 9:56pm, Everest Metro PD officers were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery that occurred at Little Caesars Pizza located at 1699 Schofield Ave in Weston. The employees reported that two unknown male persons dressed in black clothing covering their faces and bodies entered the store brandishing handguns and demanding money from the store safe and cash register. One of the male suspects was described as being African American and the other suspect’s ethnicity in unknown. The male suspects stole cash from the store as well as property belonging to the employees who were working at the time of the incident.

Between Saturday March 30, 2013 and Sunday March 31, 2013 a 2003 600 EFI Arctic Cat Green/Black in color and a 2000 DS650 Bombardier ATV Yellow/Black in color were stolen from Kinney Racing. Also taken were two Chevy tire rims and several miscellaneous parts including a Jet Ski motor, an old snowmobile engine and misc. Yamaha engine parts. The total loss is estimated at $3500. Photographs attached are SIMILAR to those that were stolen.
A suspect vehicle is described as a blue Chevy truck, possibly a 2005, with an extended cab pulling a trailer.

From February, 2013 through May, 2013, a property owner who owns land on County Rd FF in the Town of Hamburg has had four game cameras stolen from his property. In April, 2013, a person stole pieces from farm machinery in the Town of Maine and Marathon County Crime Stoppers is attempting to identify who is responsible.
Between April 12th and April 19th, 2013 someone removed six yellow and black seed boxes from a John Deere corn planter and stole them from a farm implement dealer. The boxes were made of fiberglass and were about 13½” wide, 21” long, and 25” high. There were mechanical pieces attached to the boxes in order for the boxes to work on the planter.
