Theft of Mats
November 10, 2013
Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to determine who stole twelve plastic mats used to help a utility company access wet or swampy areas.
A utility company was working on October 28, 2013 in the area of Old Highway 51 and State Road 34 in the Town of Knowlton. Between 3:00 PM and 7:00 AM the next morning, someone stole twelve plastic mats the company uses underneath their vehicles to access wet areas. The mats are 4’x8’ in size and are 7/16th of an inch thick. The utility company sustained a loss of about $3,000.00. Attached is a picture of a mat on a trailer.

Theft of Bolts From Pedestrian Railings
November 01, 2013
Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify the person responsible for stealing bolts from pedestrian railings in the City of Wausau.
On or about October 11, 2013, there was a theft of nuts and bolts from the pedestrian railings on the Washington Street and Scott Street bridges. 137 bolts were stolen from the W. Washington Street bridge and 80-100 nuts were stolen from the Scott Street Bridge. These nuts and bolts anchor the pedestrian railing that rests atop the concrete barrier along the sidewalk.
The total loss is approximately $415 plus an additional $1,000 in labor for the city crew to replace the missing nuts and bolts. There were also 4 bolts missing from the Dudley building.

Theft from Remodeled House
October 13, 2013
Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to determine who went into a residence while it was being remodeled and stole tools and electronic devices.
A house was being remodeled on Bluebell Drive in the Town of Rib Mountain between December, 2012 and April, 2013. Items stolen from inside the house included a variety of DeWalt tools to include an air compressor. Electronics items stolen included a 65 inch Vizio television, and Xbox game system, and a Samsung DVD player.

Cabin Burglary
September 29, 2013
Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the person who broke into a cabin in the Town of Reid.
Sometime between September 24, 2013 and September 25, 2013, a shed and cabin were burglarized on Litza Rd and several items were taken. The stolen items include:
A Mathews Outback Bow inside a black hard case, a Diamond Razor Edge Bow inside a green hard case, flashlights, hunting knives, tackle box, two pair of camouflage boots, and a brown recliner.
There have been several burglaries reported in this area.

COLLECTIBLES TAKEN IN RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the person who broke into a residence in the Town of McMillan.
Sometime between July 13, 2013 and September 12, 1013, a window was busted out of a residence on STH 97 near Galvin Ave. The burglar entered the residence through the broken window and took a 200 piece Star Trek collection of figurines, calendars, and toys, a 50 piece “The Simpson” collection of toys, figurines and calendars, three black antique typewriters, and an antique carved wooden table.

Theft of Trailer and Skid Steer Attachement
September 01, 2013
Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to locate the person responsible for stealing equipment from a property in the Town of Guenther.
Between July 15, 2013 and July 29, 1013, someone stole a hay wagon from a property on County Road X in the Town of Guenther. The hay wagon didn’t have sides on it and the picture is of a similar trailer. On the trailer was a five to six foot bucket which would attach to a tractor. On the inside of the bucket, the initials “DW 2010” were welded. Also on the wagon was a log grapple for a Bobcat Skid Steer. The owner estimated his loss to be over $5,000.00.

Damage to Vehicles
August 11, 2013
There were several vehicles
damaged at Fred Mueller Automotive in the City of Schofield and Marathon County
Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to catch the individuals responsible.
Sometime between the evening of
Friday, July 12 and the morning of Sunday, July 14th, there were 13
vehicles damaged at Fred Mueller Automotive located at 448 Grand Ave in
Schofield. The vehicles that were damaged had the windshield wipers bent on
them. The hood on another vehicle was dented, scratched and smashed. Most of
the vehicles that were damaged were Mazda Brand and were located on the north
end of the car lot. A building on the property was also entered and items
inside were vandalized.

Theft of Traffic Cones

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify the person responsible for stealing numerous traffic cones from the Village of Rothschild.
Between 06-23-13 and 06-29-13, 75 orange traffic cones with the letters “VR” were stolen from the Village of Rothschild Department of Public Works. The cones were 18 inches tall. It will cost the Village of Rothschild more than $425 to replace the cones.

Criminal Damage in the Cemeteries

There were several headstones damaged in two Wausau Cemeteries and Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to catch the individuals responsible.
On the morning of Sunday, July 14th, it was discovered that there were approximately 25 headstones knocked over at the Pine Grove Cemetery and St. Joseph’s Cemetery located on Grand Ave in the City of Wausau. Some of the headstones damaged were from the 1800’s and may be difficult to repair. Please help us find whoever is responsible for this damage and bring justice to the families of the loved ones in these cemeteries.

Hit and Run Accident

A hit and run accident occurred in the Township of Gunther and Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to catch the person responsible.
On Saturday, June 29th, about 5:25pm, a bicyclist was riding north on CTH X about .75 miles south of CTH C when she was struck by the passenger side mirror of a northbound white pick-up truck. The plastic mirror from the truck was recovered at the scene. The bicyclist was transported by ambulance for injuries received as a result of being struck by the white truck that left the scene.

Burglary/Theft of Welder and Tools

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify people responsible who stole items from a building in the Town of Norrie.
During the nighttime hours between Friday, 06-28-13 and Saturday, 06-29-13, unknown people entered a building on Birnamwood Road and stole a Miller Welder, a welding helmet, a Metabo high speed cutting wheel, and numerous Craftsman hand tools. The victim in this incident sustained a loss of over $3,000.00.

Money Taken in Residential Burglary

A residence was burglarized in the Township of Rib Mountain and Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to catch the person responsible.
On Sunday, June 23rd, between 9:00am and 11:30am, someone forced entry into a residence on Cardinal Ave by breaking the glass out of a rear kitchen door. As a result, money was taken from the residence. A suspicious white male was seen walking on Cardinal Ave about the time of the break in. The white male is further described as being in his early 20’s, short curly blonde hair, about 5’11 with a thin build and wearing baggy blue jeans that hung low on his waist. He was not wearing a shirt and had very light skin.

Armed Robbery

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the people involved in the Armed Robbery of Little Caesars Pizza in Weston.
On 05/20/13 about 9:56pm, Everest Metro PD officers were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery that occurred at Little Caesars Pizza located at 1699 Schofield Ave in Weston. The employees reported that two unknown male persons dressed in black clothing covering their faces and bodies entered the store brandishing handguns and demanding money from the store safe and cash register. One of the male suspects was described as being African American and the other suspect’s ethnicity in unknown. The male suspects stole cash from the store as well as property belonging to the employees who were working at the time of the incident.

Construction Site Thefts

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify people responsible for thefts of tools from various construction sites near Wausau.
During the weekend of May 18, 2013, two different construction sites had tools stolen from them. One was near N. 14th Ave. and Cassidy Dr. in the Town of Maine. The other was by the Wisconsin River Bridge by Business Highway 51 in the Town of Rib Mountain. Items stolen included a Dewalt 2400 watt generator, a Dewalt electric drill, a Stihl 029 chain saw, a 14” Partner chop/cut off saw, a 12” Stihl chop/cut off saw, a 2” electric water pump, and a David White transit.

Stolen Recreational Vehicles

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify the people responsible for stealing recreational vehicles from a business in the City of Schofield.
Between Saturday March 30, 2013 and Sunday March 31, 2013 a 2003 600 EFI Arctic Cat Green/Black in color and a 2000 DS650 Bombardier ATV Yellow/Black in color were stolen from Kinney Racing. Also taken were two Chevy tire rims and several miscellaneous parts including a Jet Ski motor, an old snowmobile engine and misc. Yamaha engine parts. The total loss is estimated at $3500. Photographs attached are SIMILAR to those that were stolen.
A suspect vehicle is described as a blue Chevy truck, possibly a 2005, with an extended cab pulling a trailer.

Stolen Game Cameras

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify people responsible for stealing multiple game cameras from the Town of Hamburg.
From February, 2013 through May, 2013, a property owner who owns land on County Rd FF in the Town of Hamburg has had four game cameras stolen from his property. Three of the cameras were Cuddeback Capture infrared trail cameras. The fourth camera was a Cuddeback Ambush infrared trail camera. With other damage done at the property, the owner has sustained almost a $1,000.00 loss.

Wanted Person Nathan Fondie

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to locate a person wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and the Everest Metro Police Department.
Nathan J. Fondie is a white male, about 6’04” tall, weighing about 215 pounds, brown hair and blue eyes. Fondie has a tattoo across the top of his back with the word “Nicole” and a colored Grateful Dead tattoo on his upper right arm. He may be driving a silver 1999 Dodge 1500 Quad Cab pick-up truck, Wisconsin Registration JX4448. Fondie has a warrant for his arrest from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and is wanted by the Everest Metro Police Department for Battery.

Theft of Farm Seeder Boxes
April 28, 2013
In April, 2013, a person stole pieces from farm machinery in the Town of Maine and Marathon County Crime Stoppers is attempting to identify who is responsible.
Between April 12th and April 19th, 2013 someone removed six yellow and black seed boxes from a John Deere corn planter and stole them from a farm implement dealer. The boxes were made of fiberglass and were about 13½” wide, 21” long, and 25” high. There were mechanical pieces attached to the boxes in order for the boxes to work on the planter. The victim sustained about a $3,000.00 loss. Below a pictures of the feed boxes.
